Collin Stewart Hires Chief Equity Strategist In New York

Collins Stewart, the London-listed financial advisory group, has appointed Anthony Dwyer as managing director and chief equity strategist in the US. In his New York-based role, Mr Dwyer will employ macro-economic and fundamental, technical and historical analysis for advising firm’s US institutional clients on how they can capitalize on intermediate and longer term cross-market and sector investment opportunities and trends, John Abularrage, chief executive of Collins Stewart’s North American operations, said in a statement. Prior to joining Collins Stewart, Mr Dwyer worked at FTN Equity Capital Markets as an equity market strategist and was a member of the FTN Midwest Securities Investment Committee, which he later chaired. Mr Dwyer’s earlier career includes a period with Prudential-Bache Securities. In other recent hires, earlier this month the New York arm of Collins Stewart appointed Louis Miscioscia as a managing director and research analyst, strengthening its technology research team.
